So, who is in those photos?

These are the photos that fed the genealogy bug for me. The lady with the horse is my Maternal Great Grand Mother. The man with the bow-tie is my Great Grand Father. She was Irish, he was English, and they arried in Philadelphia in 1909. The picture where GGM is facing the horse is a copy of the one that was tucked into the wallet of my grandfather. The picture of GGM facing the camera was only discovered when we found relatives in Connecticut in 2004.
My grandfather never saw that one.! He was brought from USA to Ireland, as a small baby around 1910, by his mother but when she returned to USA, Granda was too ill to travel, and he was left behind and lived with his Grandparents.

Who is this fine Gentleman with that fine mustache? That is my Paternal Great Grand Father – he drowned in a fishing accident in 1909, the same year that my grandmother was born. This side of the family lived in Ireland and the photo hung in my grandmother’s house for years, but I never knew who it was until I went researching. Little did I know where that search would lead me.
